About the Brand

Originally part of a fast food chain, La Belle Province, La Belle Newman decided to move away from the chain and rebrand. Located on Newman Blvd, Lasalle, hence the name, the restaurant originally opened its doors in 1996, and is still managed by the original owners. La Belle Newman is a beloved fast-food restaurant that embodies the heart of Quebec’s culinary culture. Known for serving classic Quebec comfort foods like poutine, steamé hot dogs, smoked meat sandwiches, and more, La Belle Newman offers a taste of tradition in a casual, no-frills setting.

About the Project

The rebrand of La Belle Province to La Belle Newman captures the essence of the original while infusing it with a fresh, vibrant energy. The redesign blends traditional and vintage elements with a playful and approachable vibe, making the brand feel both nostalgic and inviting for families.

The centrepiece is a charming hamburger character that adds a touch of whimsy, while the hand-drawn typeface gives the brand a warm, personal feel. The saturated and colourful palette ties it together, creating a lively, modern twist on a beloved Quebec classic.
